 The National Telehealth Resource Center (NTRC) was created in 2006 through a grant from the Office for the Advancement of Telehealth at the Health and Resource Administration in the US Department of Health and Human Services. NTRC’s mission is to advise, educate, and inform telehealth stakeholders and interested parties in the legal and regulatory issues facing telehealth.
Areas of Service • Disseminating and analyzing key telehealth information and research on key legal, regulatory, policy, and legislative documents for HRSA grantees.
• Providing training, education, support and technical assistance through workshops and meetings to better inform and educate HRSA grantees.
• Providing tools, tips, facts, and techniques to support HRSA grantees.

The Center for Telehealth & E-Health Law (CTeL) was created in 1995 as the Center for Telemedicine Law under the vision and leadership of a number of individuals including Dr. Yadin David, Bob Waters, the Mayo Foundation, the Cleveland Clinic, the Midwest Rural Telemedicine Consortium, and the Texas Children’s Hospital. CTeL's mission is to overcome the legal and regulatory barriers to the utilization of telehealth and related e-health services.
CTeL's mission is to overcome the legal and regulatory barriers to the utilization of telehealth and related e-health services. CTeL has established itself as a leader in compiling, analyzing and disseminating complex legal, regulatory and public policy information associated with telehealth and its underlying issues. CTeL provides vital support to the community by providing critical analysis and information on legal and regulatory issues on topics such as reimbursement, licensure, telecommunications, FDA regulations, privacy, and accreditation. CTeL holds a yearly Telehealth Leadership Conference, the only national public policy conference dedicated solely to telehealth issues, where CTeL members and participants visit with Members of Congress and their staff, to discuss telehealth-related issues. CTel also publishes, Inside Washington & Beyond, an e-newsletter keeping the telehealth community apprised of important public policy information and developments.
In 2006, CTeL was selected as the National Telehealth Resource Center (NTRC) by the US Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), an agency of the Department of Health and Human Services.
