Virtual State of Science Conference on Telerehabilitation

The University of Pittsburgh Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center (RERC) on Telerehabilitation will host the first Virtual State of the Science Conference from November 17-20, 2008.  This is a free event hosted entirely on the web – participate from your own location via your computer.

All health and rehabilitation professionals, industry partners, government agencies and consumers with disabilities are invited to participate.  Participants must register at http://www.sos.telerehabnet.org.  Continuing education units are available at no cost through the University of Pittsburgh, School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences (SHRS). 

A pre-conference of live interactive technology practice session(s) will be held for participants from November 10-14 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm EST.  Topics for the November 17-20 conference include:

¾    Telerehabilitation: State of the Art from an Informatics Perspective

¾    Telerehabilitation Clinical and Vocational Applications Research, Opportunities, and Challenges

¾    Telerehabilitation Technologies:  Accessibility and Usability

¾    Telerehabilitation:  Policy Research Tools and Policy Issues
